On the way to work yesterday I saw a poor bird on the sidewalk.
I walked into work and shared with Gaby what I had seen. Ten minutes later Gaby walked into the office holding a box with the bird inside. 
The bird indeed was alive, it was just injured. Gaby called animal control to get the bird help, and when they weren’t coming fast enough she took matters into her own hands. She created a faux nest for the bird out of toilet paper, put a small heater outside the box to keep it warm, and Googled the proper practices for nursing a bird back to health.
As we were waiting for animal control to make their way over the box began to move. The bird was flapping away. In a mere 2 hours Gaby nursed a poor little bird back to health, and sent it on it’s way.
This is just one of the many amazing stories about Gaby! Gaby gave life back to a bird that everyone, including myself, had assumed to be dead. If this does not show you how caring and loving Gaby is, I don’t know what will!
I wish I could share many more stories about Gaby but I doubt that you have the time to sit here for hours and listen. The good news is that today is Gaby’s Employee Highlight!

Not because it’s the most inspiring or emotion-filled story, but because of what it started.
After this story got posted, we were bombarded by hundreds of people saying they were inspired by this story, and they went out and did the same! Pretty soon we’d heard of thousands of notes being left EVERYWHERE – at the workplace, in bathroom stalls, even between the pages of diet magazines. Before we knew it, Caitlin from OperationBeautiful.com started compiling all the stories, and Operation Beautiful was well underway.
