Another two weeks has gone by and that means it’s time for another Employee Highlight. For the third employee highlight we are focusing on our VP of Operations, Henry Vasquez.
Before we get to the good stuff, here’s some background on Henry.
Henry, like me, shares a love for writing. He started creative writing as a hobby in 7th grade. He began with short stories and poetry. In college his love for writing led to blogging which then led to him founding Lefty’s Last Cry. More recently Henry has moved on to humor. Have you heard of Gator the Couch?
The Gator has been Henry’s couch since he was a freshman in college. In school, The Gator became sort of a legend among friends and guests of the house. Years later, he researched its origin and found out The Gator is actually The Leathercraft Sofa 3330, a top-of-the-line $6000 couch from circa 1990.
Henry always regarded The Gator as a member of the household, so he decided to immortalize The Gator by giving it a voice on twitter. The twitter account has done well with 224 followers. Pretty impressive for a couch right?

In my first week of work, Facebook released the “like” button, which had an immense impact on content sharing across the web. This post received hundres of thousands likes in a matter of hours, going viral and causing a massive flood of traffic across our network over a 3 day period. When the storm settled weeks later, our network more than tripled in size. The May 2010 spike represents the single largest traffic growth in our company history…so far. : )
